Tom lives and works in Wilmington, North Carolina, a block from The Intracoastal Waterway, and about a mile from the sparkling whitecaps and the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. He's been married for forty five years, and his family includes two children, one amazing grand daughter, two fine dogs, and four quite idiosyncratic cats.

The philosophical lady of the house, married to the other philosopher for forty five years, is here paused from nearly constant motion, standing momentarily beside a small splash of her many flowers. When Tom is in near monastic isolation while writing, she'll make sure your email gets through to him.
